What is Vegetable Tanned Leather, you ask? It is a very light toned leather that has been tanned using tannin and other ingredients found in tree bark and other vegetable matter. Vegetable tanned leather can change in color or age quite dramatically depending on how its used and handled. It will evolve with you and your lifestyle. As this sort of leather is exposed through every day use to sun light,  natural oils such as the ones in leather conditioner or oils from your skin, and exposure to water, it will begin to darken and eventually develop a gorgeous patina.
