The Evolution of Bas and Lokes

Sydney, December 2025

For more than sixteen years, a small team of us handcrafted leather watch straps that travelled the world—wrapped around the wrists of adventurers, collectors, and everyday icons. We were among the first to custom-make handcrafted leather straps in a wide spectrum of colours, releasing new collections month after month. In our own way, we helped redefine how the world wore its watches, and I’m deeply proud of that legacy.

But every chapter has its close. And from the end of one comes the beginning of another.

Bas & Lokes is evolving.

From the very beginning, I’ve held a long-standing dream: to design and handcraft exceptional canvas, suede, and leather travel and carry bags.

Still small-batch.
Still made by hand in Sydney.
But now crafted to carry more than just time.

This new direction is designed for the journey and refined for daily life. Supremely elegant. Plush and luxe, with an edge. Created for the weekday rush, the weekend away, and everything in between—bags that move with you and elevate the everyday.

You may have already seen glimpses of what was to come: our limited-edition, super-luxe work totes that sold out last year, and a small run of sleek toiletry bags. Bags were always the destination. But life, volume strap orders, and a handful of personal setbacks pulled my focus elsewhere—until now.

The strap chapter is complete.
